Thursday, January 1, 2009 - Thank you for the year and for another
Just because I'm bored whenever there is a huge celebration, I'm here to count down the top 10 most memorable moments of 2008
10
Three Interviews
The three interviews from three different places in Manila was never really my thing but I have to get a job sooner or later. So right after I graduated I tried to look for jobs. Overall I did not get accepted in the first three interviews, there has been some concern on how I will go there (from a 2 hour drive). So basically, I did not make it but it's a rewarding experience overall.

Talisman
In 2007 there was Perfect World but in 2008, my gaming life took me to Talisman Online (which I actually started in Dec 07). I played it for about 5 months, it was a good game but it became too profit based which didn't really reflect on how the game was improved.

Student's Christmas Party
It was really fun. I get to act myself most of the time. Being a teacher, you have to be like this and like that, basically I listen to what they want me to be but during that day, I am who I am. A childish, naughty and crazy person. At the end of the day, I got caked on. But it was fun.

Reunion
Reuniting with my old pals from high school was great. It wasn't perfect but It was just what I needed to get my overworked butt from getting too overworked! It was so memorable that I received a new battle scar from battling the great evil tilapia (milk fish). Well in other words, I got burned. Again, wasn't really perfect since I was treated as a caterer by others instead of a batchmate who also wanted to enjoy the reunion. (douchebags)

Stick Buns
In March 2008, my last term in college ended in a memorable fashion. I was part of the theater arts class and this is the probably the most time I have spent in one class than any of my other subjects throughout college. In the process, I met many friends, we stayed up so late in school and everything was just so rewarding. I made more friends for my classmates were actually from batch '05 (I'm from '04).

Losing Home
Problems will always be a part of everyone's lives. But this one was so serious, I wasn't really expecting it to get solved (in fact the only solution was damage control or letting go of the house). But somehow we are still here. It made me worry a lot in the past that may have affected my work, however, right now, I worry less about it.

Overnight Camping
An opportunity came late November this year for an overnight camping for the student's team building. And as a NEW teacher, I can't pass up the opportunity. It was fun, even if it rained rocks, and it was plainly just hilarious on how it started and how it ended. It was one of the best sleepless nights I ever had.

BUM Mode
Four long months (April 27-Aug 6) I have been doing nothing except earn $5. Well, some people say I have rushed getting work since I will be working for the rest of my life and being able to rest right after college wouldn't hurt. Well It will, this is not something I want to do but this is something I have to do. But then again, being a BUM was fun for four months. I basically just did side projects to help my friends and also did some personal stuff. Nothing that special that's why I'm a bum. Just eat, sleep, play and do whatever stuff I feel like doing. Yes I will surely miss those days.

Sensei
August 7, I got hired as a computer teacher (at age 20). It was a dream come true and until today (and could be for the rest of my life), I still can't believe that I am a teacher. It was a good choice since I'm good at computers and I love persuading people. So there you go. Teach! There are times that I think I'm not fit for the job but I enjoy it so I think I won't stop until others stop me (or even if they stop me, who knows). Sometimes I also think that I may not be doing the right thing but since everyone has no huge complaints (but one). I will continue.

Graduation Day
I've studied most of my life and this is the culmination of everything. I had mixed emotions. Sad because I may never see my friends and teachers again, happy because I accomplished something that big and nervous, because I know tomorrow is going to be a new life for me. My mom basically did everything in her power to keep me studying even if it meant losing our home (like right now). Everything ended and started that day.
